Create a custom label template for inventory items

You can design your own label templates in Tendy. For a template to be usable when saving items to inventory, it needs to include a QR code. With a QR template…

Open Print Templates and tap Create template.

In the label editor, tap QR code among the element types at the bottom to place a QR code on the label. You can also add other elements — Free text, Text, Best before and more — and adjust size, position and alignment using the toolbar.

3. Save and name the template

When you are satisfied, tap Save. Give the template a name and tap Save again.

4. Start the print flow

Go to the regular print flow — e.g. via the quick action menu → Print → select a category or animal profile and cut. This brings you to the Print label screen.

See the guide How to create an inventory item for the complete flow up to this point.

5. Select your own template

Tap the dropdown at the top to open Label templates. Your own template is in the list, marked with Custom and Saved to inventory. Select it and tap Save.

6. Preview and print

The preview shows the label with your own template. Tap Print.

7. The item is saved to inventory

Since the template included a QR code, an inventory item is created immediately after printing. Select a storage location and tap Save.
